Canterbury Museum is located just across the road from Ravenscar House on Rolleston Avenue, where it has stood for more than 150 years. The Museum cares for more than 2.3 million objects and is the South Island’s most visited indoor tourist attraction.

It is home to exhibitions telling stories about Canterbury’s natural environment, the people who have made their homes here and the region’s connection to Antarctica, along with exciting and regularly changing special exhibitions.
